The Project

The project comprised of the refurbishment of offices, kitchens and toilets spread across 2 two floors within the city centre office building.

Starfish Construction acted under instruction of Cushman & Wakefield to carry out the necessary works to bring these offices spaces back up to a high level of interior finish, ready for lease. The work involved stripping out the existing tired office including all suspended ceilings, lighting, floors, kitchens and toilets and refurbishment and decoration of all these areas.

Our close ties with our supply chain ensured the tight deadline on this project was achieved and our experienced Project Managers & Site Foremen and Operatives made certain that no corners were cut when it came to achieving this deadline safely.

Challenges

The office building was partially leased with a common staircase being used by a number of different businesses. We ensured that we accommodated everyone on site in a safe and secure manner. The city centre location also posed its own problems in terms of access, storage and waste disposal; all of these challenges were overcome by careful planning and execution of working methods.

This West George Street office is in the heart of Glasgow City Centre surrounded by other similar office buildings, shops and residental properties.

Starfish Construction were employed to complete a full strip-out and refurbishment of the 2 floors to bring it up to a high standard suitable for letting.
